A Designated Governor  has  been allocated to oversee procedure, record keeping as well as support and challenge the school in child protection, safeguarding and welfare. The named governor is Mr John Durance.

The school is proud to have it's own independent trained counsellor who work with children and families for two days each week, where pupils complete a programme of independent counselling.

In the event of a parent/guardian or carer wishing to contact the school regarding a welfare issue the team are available to book appointments with and can often work with parents immediately where parents or children need urgent support.  In addition to this the Designated Leader and Deputy will also support the team on request along with the named governor for Safeguarding  Mr John Durance. You can contact school by writing a letter and placing it in a sealed envelope, marked Safeguarding Private and Confidential, which should be handed to the school office who will ensure this is delivered as a matter of urgency to them.
