Come with us on a dinosaur adventure. Are you brave enough? Travel through time and learn all about the dinosaurs that roamed on Earth. What did they eat? Where did they live? What did they look like?

During the Spring Term our topic is 'Dinosaurs'. Throughout this term the children will be learning the following:
English- Dinosaur stories, Non-fiction research and Dinosaur poetry.
Maths- Counting, recognising, ordering, addition, subtraction, number bonds, capacity and measuring.
History- Extinction and Palaeontologists.
Geography- Dinosaurs in our local area.
Art- Clay and observational drawings.
D&T- Mechanisms and toys.
PSHE- Going for goals
Music- Pulse, Tempo, Pitch and Dynamics.
Computing- Programming and E-safety.
P.E- Ball skills.
In Year 1 our P.E days are: Miss Davis – Wednesday
Miss Wilson- Thursday
Miss Johnson Thursday.
As you are aware, at the end of Year 1 your child will be taking the Phonics Screening check. Therefore, we will be giving children weekly resources to practise in preparation. Many thanks for your continued help and support with your child’s education, it is so important that we work together.
